Competition
The Big Westbourne Photo Competition is now open and we’re inviting you to get snapping and show us what life in Westbourne means to you.
The theme is “Your Westbourne” and we’re looking for creative interpretations.
Your entry could be an image of your favourite part of the beach, your friends enjoying a drink in a coff ee shop, dog walking on the high street or anything that refl ects your life in Westbourne. Your photo must have been taken in the past year and in the local area.

Winners and The Prize
The winning entries and best runners up will be printed in the magazine. One overall winner will be featured on the cover of the Westbourne Magazine, receive a framed print of their image courtesy of Number 83 and a copy of ‘Step-by-Step Digital Photo Retouching’, courtesy of the Westbourne Bookshop.
The Readers Choice winner will be featured on the Westbourne Facebook page in September and October.
Rules
1. The competition is open from the 1st May to 30th June 2012.
2. Your entry must be your original work, one entry per person.
3. Submissions can be from any type of camera including mobile phones.
4. You must be the sole owner of copyright and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured.
5. There are 3 prize categories, Adults (16 and above), Children (under 16) and ‘Readers Choice’.
6. Entry is via email.
7. Digitally manipulated images are accepted.
8. All entries will be displayed in an online gallery on this website for the Readers Choice vote. The gallery and votes will open on the 1st July 2012.
9. The winners will be announced in August.
10. Judges are looking for technical quality, creative air and an interesting interpretation of the topic.
11. The winning photo will appear on the cover of the September edition of the Westbourne Magazine.
12. The best runners up will also be featured in the September magazine.
13. The judges decision is nal, there is no cash alternative to the prize.
14. By entering the competition you grant us the right to publish your photograph on our website, on social media and in the magazine.
